On October 6, 2013, Distant World returned to Boston. Distant World is proud to announce the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy and celebrated it with the game’s theme song. Distant World joined Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra and Berklee Choir to perform the live soundtrack of this enchanting video presentation conducted by Arnie Roth.
Distant World: Music From Final Fantasy is a concert tour that featured soundtracks from the Final Fantasy series that began touring in 2007 at Stockholm, Sweden. The series of music are conducted by Arnie Roth and composed by Nobue Uematsu. The Final Fantasy game was produced by Square Enix, now in its 14th edition since 1987. New arrangements have been created for the recent 25th Anniversary Celebration concerts including the Final Fantasy Series: Battle and Victory Theme Medley and the Opera ‘Maria & Draco’ from Final Fantasy VI featuring three soloists, narrator, and the Berklee Choir. Nobuo Uematsu, the Final Fantasy series composer, participated in the after event meet-up.
In the opening of Distant World 2013: Boston, Arnie Roth introduced himself and performed the live orchestra of Final Fantasy 8 Theme Song, Liberi Fatali. Arnie then played several Final Fantasy battle themes from Final Fantasy I to Final Fantasy VIII. The night continued as Arnie introduced our special guest, the Legendary Music composer of Final Fantasy series, Nobuo Uematsu. Nobuo played alongside the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra and joined the epic Final Fantasy orchestra group led by Berklee Choir playing the ultimate villain song, One Winged Angel.
At the end of the concert, there was a meet-up with Nobuo Uematsu for fans that wanted to get an autograph and an exclusive photo with the Legendary Final Fantasy composer.
