ABOUT SHARON KON:
Sharon Kon was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She graduated with honors from Hunter College of The City University of New York with a B.S. in Film and Video Production. Kon is a director/producer who is passionate about producing films with not only aesthetic appeal but also thought-provoking and ultimately life-changing to each viewer.
Kon has produced short films and documentaries including Ultraviolet (which received awards in the Berlin Film Festival), as well as Missions Documentaries for ChildCry (an international feeding program) and Kakabalika Child Foundation (based in Lusaka, Zambia). She has also produced in-house commercials for clienteles such as The Sunshine Group, Romona Keveza and Rockrose Development. Her current works include writing and producing The Father’s Love, a full-length narrative film that she will be directing in the Fall; producing a short film entitled Savage.
