The Dragon Child US Premiere

On April 20th at 7pm, we saw the cutest show “The Dragon Child US Premiere” at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. There were a lot of kids and everyone was extremely happy after they watching the show and walked out the theater.  It’s a wonderful show that is very educational and yet beautiful.

Directed by Australia’s Peter Wilson, director of the Sydney Olympics Opening Ceremony, The Dragon Child is produced and presented by China Children’s Art Theatre in Beijing with support from The Arts Centre in Melbourne.

A beautifully enchanting blend of traditional Chinese art, music and culture with contemporary puppetry, theater and animation. The China Children’s Art Theater brings to life an optimistic story of growth, survival and courage in the U.S. premiere of this production.

Raised by the colorful and lively twelve Chinese zodiac animals, the young Dragon Child enjoys a harmonious and peaceful existence until pollution and diminishing natural resources disrupt her life. This Earth Week 2012, see through her eyes and the eyes of her friends, as this special performance explores some of the challenges our world faces today and the impact they have on our children, our hope and our future.

This is definitely a great story to education our children and we highly recommend it!
