Up and coming Chinese designer Yajun who dresses for the cool girls like Rihanna and CL, showcased another lineup for NYFW at Spring Studios.

This Parsons graduate designed 21 unisex ready-to-wear looks for her Fall Winter 2018 collection. The palette was almost all black- with three full blue looks mixed in. Yajun’s aesthetic is for the effortless edgy girls with bulky outerwear and chunky boots, smokey eyes and loose waves, and very elevated layering for the boys.

Her opening look with a clear raincoat over a puffer jacket was refreshing to see. The styling on every look was minimal; no crazy jewelry or accessories.

This collection didn’t have a huge wow factor but every look can be worn straight off the runway. Casting director Gilleon Smith did another great job with casting different model ethnicities for the show as they each represented Yajun’s brand well.
