SUSAN WOO held her FALL 2013 PRESENTATION on FRIDAY FEBRUARY 8TH 2013 at PIER 59 STUDIO.

Working women can rejoice, as the Susan Woo collection has the perfect combination of edgy and office-ready looks. Staple separates such as a white button-down get a modern update with black knit sleeves or mesh yoke. Burgundy and blue along with timeless black and white was the color palette. Highlights include a grey wool twill wrap coat with leather trim and a cream wool georgette exposed dart dress with mesh yoke.

Like many sustainable designers in New York, Woo manages to transcend the stigma of eco-friendly clothing being crunchy or too casual. Her use of organic cotton poplin and organic wool jersey shows that a line can be tailored and elegant, yet still be progressive in building towards environmental goals that designers are adopting slowly. This is the designer’s most sophisticated collection to date.
