On April 9, Son Jung Wan launched her first global e-commerce site. If you don’t know about her, she is the most popular South Korean designer and one of South Korea’s most successful designers with over $60 Million USD in sales in 2012.
The designer Son Jung Wan was not present at the e-commerce site launch event, but the representatives from DHI, Inc. (Deborah Huges, Inc. Public Relations-Events) greatly informed the global e-commerce site of Son Jung Wan.
DHI, Inc. organized a great space to launch this event. Rags of garments were presented in the open space in the office. Some original paintings by Son were also featured. The paintings are some of her working processes of the collections.
Wan’s e-commerce site focused on her Spring/Summer 2014 runway collection and the Fall/Winter 2014 collection. This is an exciting for everyone, because now the beautiful runway pieces are available for presale. You can easily access her site, http://sonjungwan.com, and click on the online shop.
Runway shots and the pricing are clearly presented on the website. All are her signature pieces from the collections. Wan’s designs can easily be dressed up and down. The raw edge and the use of metallic materials added character to the pieces, and the use of creamy color and multi-colors added fun and cuteness to the collections. The architectural and urban silhouettes would suit many women in today’s society.
Wan noted, “I am very pleased to finally bring my designs to the world. The Internet is such a powerful tool, so I wanted to wait until the brand was prepared for this international platform. The e-commerce site will assist in the growth of my brand’s global reach and will be key to the company’s expansion.” I am sure all of us agreed, without Internet, we might not be able to add Wan’s designs to our closets.
