On February 10, 2014, Ricardo Seco displayed his Fall/Winter 2014 collection at the Angel Orensanz Foundation at 5 pm during New York Fashion Week.
Ricardo Seco is known for his tailoring and sophisticated pieces. Seco’s “Forever” Menswear collection was inspired by the timeless style of the 60s era, and by taking the A-line silhouette and making it a more masculine and chic style.
Seco achieves the A-line shape by putting oversize coats, jackets and sweaters over tailored skinny-cut pants and Bermuda shorts. One design featured a long off white oversize coat with an oversized button detail paired with light grey classically tailored pants, and a darker gray vest underneath the coat.
Another piece displayed a navy blue graphic sweater paired with a leather black jacket, with the sweater’s double-colored sleeves of white and navy blue peeking out, and pink pants. Contrasting, is one other design with a baby blue intricately knitted sweater, with a white collar peeking out, and on top of a navy turtleneck; all paired with gray Bermuda shorts, which give it a more preppy look.
Seco also continued the Fashion Week trend of black as a dominating color. One piece displayed a black suede jacket with pocket accents over a black sweater, and white collar shirt paired with matching pants.
