Designer Peter Som presented his Fall 2014 collection at Milk Studios in New York City during New York Fashion Week. There was a total of 38 looks in Som’s collection. Som’s collection was an overarching theme. It shows simplicity and natural beauty.
Som explained his inspiration after the show, “the silhouettes charted a progression from the structured look of the early sixties to the free-floating bohemian style of the seventies.” As you can see in this image, Som designed this kind of silhouette for most of his pieces.
Other pieces were miniskirts with colors, such as gold, navy blue, soft tones of orange, and a mix-match with the colors black and white. One of the dresses really captured the collection’s spirit, which was a blocked dress of black, gray and orange. “Playing with textures is so important,” Som said.
