Kathleen Kye, young and talented Korean fashion designer put on another vibrant and graphic collection at New York Fashion Week this season in Skylight Clarkson Square. She has the perfect eye for combining colors and print to execute a line of high-end street wear.
First four looks incorporated satin two piece ensembles in bubblegum pink and sky blue palettes. The baroque spiral print give the quirky colors a bit of an edge. The menswear half pink jumper canceled any doubts that guys can’t pull off pink. Next four looks are more muted with grey, burgundy and teal blue palettes. Kye used sequin silk fabric and mesh in these looks. What stood out was the grey graphic jumper titled “hate”. The retro font screams k-pop, which she repeats in other graphic jumpers and tees.
Her next showstopper look is the long camouflage jacket paired with neon pink flare pants. These pants have a 70s vibe with the lace detailing but the bold color makes it youthful. She continues with a couple of more looks in the baroque print.
The last few looks really toned down the color and prints and instead she used black and gold. The men glitter baseball bomber jacket, black glitter long sleeve dress and gold velvet flare pants are just some of the genius creations to close out the collection.
