Kim Seo-Ryong Fall 2014

By Yinsana Mok

On February 11th, there was a Fall/Winter 2014 men’s collection line presentation in a small showroom on the 5th floor. The Korean designer Kim Seo-Ryong, designer of the outfits used in live performances of PSY’s world famous Gangnam Style‘ brought his men’s collection to America. The concept of this collection is “Ego Trip.” As if we find ourselves through travel.

There was a total of 10 looks; all were men’s suits. In this collection, the designer focused on classic silhouettes. He used unique fabrications that show both modernistic and old-fashioned features. In this presentation, models presented the collection by standing in a line. Many photographers were taking pictures of the models one by one.

In addition, there were different length of suits. Two of the models carried wallets as part of the design. Some of them had a scarf and turtleneck shirt in this collection. Most of the models wore black shoes to well match with the clothes.

The colors used in this presentation were gray, black, light purple, dark gray, reddish, green, orange, white, red, and light blue. Each of the models delicately presented the collection to the audiences with both a modern and retro feel.
