Katya Leonovich’s couture collection featured the use of a lot of metallic textures, ruffles, and plenty of personalities.
For spring 2015, the New York-based designer created some knit jumpsuit and shift dress as well as two swimwear piece. The fusion of design aesthetics popped off the runway with use of color, texture and ingenuous use of separates.
Her sheer wide iridescent pewter pants were ruffled at the calves, and paired with a black mesh cocktail jacket making for a festive, yet elegant, and businesslike look.
Pioneering a complement of new materials and techniques, Katya has introduced a brave new world for Spring 2015 that bodes well for the future for fashion.
