Jenny Packham debuted her latest Autumn/Winter 2014 collection on February 10th held in the Meatpacking District. The collection was inspired by Bianca Jagger, the darling of New York Society in the 70s who epitomised the ease and opulence of evening wear at the time.
As the models strutted down the runway in one breathtaking look after the other, we can clearly see the influence of her muse in the effortlessly elegant, draped silk satins in soft caramel, bluebird blues, and rose pinks contrast with sleek silhouettes of 70’s chic metallic glitter tulle and swarovski scattered mesh lace. The tailored pieces were just as breathtaking – sharp wide-legged tailored trousers were styled with crystal encrusted cashmere sweater in rich jewel tones, and maltino feathered full-length coats. The accessories provided a dramatic statement to the whole look.
The collection reminds us of the timeless high-octane glamour we often see on the red carpet. It is no wonder that Jenny Packham has a faithful following of celebrity clients, such as The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Winslet and Taylor Swift.
