Carmen Marc Valvo presented his 25th Anniversary Collection of 51 looks on Sept. 5, 2014. The designer is known for his gorgeous eveningwear and cocktail dresses, but he certainly surprised us with his inclusion of menswear in this collection.
Valvo presented a popular spring trend, which is the midi hemline on his dresses. He repeated several of his feminine floral prints and subtle metallic sheen in vary silhouettes, including the midi dresses, long evening gowns, statement pants, sportswear, and suit jackets. There were many eye-catching moments during this show: a sheer cobalt blue gown with edgy shoulder cutouts, a soft gold gown with prints that resembled falling leaves, and the excellent crafted jackets and blazers for men.
Once again, Valvo amazed us with his talent to create luxurious evening wear for women. All the dresses had great fit and movement, as well as glamorous prints and details. But he also debuted his talent for menswear. We saw red carpet moments and casual chic for the men on the runway that fit right with the graceful, confident women on the runway.
