Brian Lichtenberg debuted his fall 2014 collection at the Hub in Lincoln Center. A total of 15 models lined up against each other. Their hair was wet; as if they just showered. The presentation room was filled with the smell of shampoo.
Brian’s collection is sporty, edgy, and street-like. Yellow, red, black and neutral colors comprised this collection. Checkered print and stripes were commonly used in dresses, scarves and fur jackets. Sweatshirts, leather jogging pants, and cropped leather jackets are the essence of this collection. As always with a sense of humor in words, Brian has “Lichtenboro” on a red and white hoodie in place of Marlboro.
The black and white checkered prints, jean-overalls, and tight leggings with many styled seams, reminded the audience of a race car driver. This is a motocross-inspired collection. The multiple use of mesh and transparent materials made it clear that this is not for a shy client.
