Taiwanese Choreographer Bulareyaung Pagarlava

Taiwanese choreographer Bulareyaung Pagarlava has been invited by the New York-based Martha Graham Dance Company to do a companion piece to Deaths and Entrances for the troupe’s 85th anniversary celebrations.

Explore Graham’s 1943 Deaths and Entrances, inspired by the Brönte sisters. This program pairs the new production with an exciting world premiere by Taiwanese choreographer Bulareyaung Pagarlava that references the Graham ballet and its themes.

國際知名「瑪莎葛蘭姆舞團」慶八十五周年,特邀台灣原住民編舞家布拉瑞揚‧帕格勒法,重新詮釋瑪莎葛蘭姆一九四三年創作Deaths and Entrances,打造全新舞作(追尋),將在紐約林肯中心玫瑰劇場舉行世界首演。

布拉瑞揚二○○九年首次應瑪莎葛蘭姆舞團邀請,重新詮釋葛蘭姆作品「悲慟」(Lamentation Variation)獲好評,這次再度受邀,並增加舞作長度至廿五分鐘,為台灣編舞者殊榮,也顯示布拉瑞揚愈獲國際肯定。
