Year of the Snake Lunar New Year Celebration at Macy’s

The Asian American Business Development Center and co-hosted by Macy’s celebrated the upcoming Year of the Snake with a lion dance and cocktail reception on Thursday, February 7 at Macy’s Herald Square.

At the event this year, AABDC recognized up and coming young entrepreneurs by honoring three “Emerging Asian American Designers”: TANA CHUNG, Founder of Tana Jewelry, RYO LIU, Creative Director and Co-founder of Pinkyotto, SALLY WU, Founder of act.1.

Meanwhile, Peichen Xu presented his famous painting to Terry Lundgren, president of Macy’s. Mr. Xu is a contemporary master of Chinese calligraphy and painting, known for his monkeys in a Chinese style. John Wang, President of AABDC, will also raffle off 4 tickets of New York Philharmonic New Year concert.

This annual Lunar New Year event, which has become a highlight of New York City’s multi-cultural calendar, brings together the Asian American business community, as well as New York City and New York State elected officials, and consul generals of a number of Asian countries.
