Timothy Wang is a Chinese American table tennis competitor represented the United States at the 2012 Summer London Olympics. Wang competed in the Men’s singles events and lost during the preliminary round. He won the Men’s singles competition at the 2010 U.S. Nationals and placed third in 2011. Wang plays with his right hand but he is naturally ambidextrous. He can play with both hands. Wang was exposed to table tennis when his dad brought him to clubs to watch his brother play.
Erica Wu from Southern California, started playing table tennis when a family friend suggested that she should give it a chance. Since the age of 9, Wu has dedicated to playing table tennis and took weekly lessons. Wu won a bronze medal alongside teammates Ariel Hsing and Lily Zhang at the 2011 Pan American Games. She also won the 2011 USA women’s doubles competition and was a semifinalist in the singles tournament. Wu competed in both the singles event and team events at the 2012 Summer London Olympics.
