TASS Night Market 2012

On Thursday, April 19 evening, we made a trip to NYU Kimmel Center to participate the Taiwan Night Market event hosted by The Taiwanese American Student Society of  NYU.  All we can say is: job well-done!  The students successfully turned the Kimmel Center to an indoor night market just like those what we are familiar with in Taiwan.

The theme of 2012 TASS Night Market is “Tale of Taiwan” in celebration of Taiwan’s recent 100th year anniversary.  All the attendees got to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Taiwan’s signature Night Markets through a combination of authentic Taiwanese food, bubble teas, exciting performances, and fun games!

TASS also invited Youtube sensation Kevin Lien, a Taiwanese American, who flew from the West Coast to perform in front of 500 people.

All the students who worked at the TASS Night Market 2012 were fantastic!  They were very friendly and yet professional.  We spoke to Anne Lee, the co-president of Taiwanese American Student Society at NYU as well as one of the directors for Night Market 2012, she was running around making sure things were perfect for the event.

We can’t wait to join them again next year and hope to win one of the ipads they have given out to during the event.
