Taiwan Celebrated 102nd National Day in New York

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in New York held a party at Marriott Marquis to celebrate 102nd National Day of Taiwan (the Republic of China) with nearly 1,000 guests attending.

At the party, Deputy Director-General of TECO Alex Fan delivered a welcome speech on all the major economic developments and improved relations across the Taiwan Strait in recent years.

The guests included representatives of over 10 of the nation’s diplomatic allies stationed at the United Nations, dignitary members of the U.S House of Representatives and the Senate, Taiwanese-American New York City Comptroller John Liu, Councilmember Peter Koo, and Paul K. Ng, president of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA).

Other guests included representatives of more than 10 of the nation’s diplomatic allies stationed at the UN, and dignitaries included various members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate.
