On Sep 21, Kollaboration New York was back for our 7th year to bring you the Nation’s premiere talent showcase for rising Asian American performing artists. We were there to support the event and we also donated 5 of our exclusive and limited AsianInNY t-shirts!
Congratulations to all the performers and to winner, John Quiwa! Quiwa will move on to the national Kollaboration competition in Los Angeles, California.
We especially love the performance by our AsianInNY friends including Mitchell Gray, Austin Luu and Izzy Salinel whom also recently performed at our 4th Annual Moon Festival and Fashion Show.
This year, the event featured finalists: John-Flor Sisante, Justin Kim, John Quiwa, Bea Go, Izzy Salinel, The Mooks and UFP. Seven performers competed for a $1,000 grand prize. Featured performers included Mitchell Grey, Wanted Ashiqz, and Gabe Bondoc. Judging the competition were Ted Fu, the co-founder of YouTube channel Wong Fu; Miss Info, a radio presenter; Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai, a spoken word artist and Mikey Fresh, online editor of Vibe.com.
