Kiehl’s, American cosmetics brand retailer that specializes in making premium skin, hair, and body care products since 1851, opens a counter at the Macy’s located in Flushing on Monday, Dec. 5, 2012.  Kiehl’s also donated to ASIAN YOUTH CENTER OF NEW YORK during the opening ceremony.

Kiehl’s was founded as an old-world apothecary in New York’s East Village neighborhood. Its unique, extensive background represents a blend of cosmetic, pharmaceutical, herbal, and medicinal knowledge developed and advanced through the generations. Celebrating 161 years of service, Kiehl’s is so excited to join the diverse Flushing community, and proud to offer visitors to Macy’s Flushing the opportunity to discover Kiehl’s efficacious skin, hair and body care products, personalized customer service, and 161-year-old heritage through the complete Kiehl’s experience.

One special initiative to celebrate the opening of Kiehl’s at Macy’s Flushing is the introduction of a brand-new product, Clearly CorrectiveTM Deep Moisture Clarifying Cream. Until February 2013, Kiehl’s at Macy’s Flushing will be the only place in the US in which this cream will be available. This new product is part of Clearly CorrectiveTM White, a skin care collection that reverses noticeable skin discoloration, minimizes and prevents the appearance of dark spots, and restores hydration levels for an overall improvement in skin clarity and luminosity. The Clearly CorrectiveTM White formulations have been developed specifically for Asian skin, and is launching in its entirety, for the first time, in the United States.

Macy’s Flushing and Kiehl’s held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the new shop on the Main Floor. Kiehl’s President Chris Salgardo joined by Macy’s Group Vice President Nancy Schmidt and New York State Congresswoman-elect Grace Meng to cut the ribbon at the new outpost.
