Hello Taiwan Easter 2024 at Tangram proved to be an extraordinary fusion of cultural celebration and Easter festivities, captivating nearly 1000 attendees with its dynamic showcase of Taiwanese arts, entertainment, and Easter-themed activities. Held at the Tangram Mall in Flushing, New York City, the event delighted visitors of all ages, drawing crowds and accolades as it celebrated the vibrant spirit of Taiwan.

“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response to Hello Taiwan Easter 2024,” exclaimed Hello Taiwan co-founder, Diana Lee. “It was truly a labor of love, and to see so many people come together to celebrate Taiwanese culture fills us with immense pride.”

The event showcased the best of Taiwanese arts and entertainment, featuring music performance by young Taiwanese children, dance performances, and free Easter theme arts and crafts, captivating audiences throughout the day.

In addition to the cultural extravaganza, Hello Taiwan Easter 2024 embraced the Easter spirit with a variety of festive activities. Children and families delighted in Easter egg coloring, East Egg paper origami, and interactive games, while the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the opportunity to meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny himself.

The event also showcased programs led by the Taiwan Center, featuring interactive dance demonstrations that engaged attendees in fun bunny-themed dance moves. Additionally, Ms. Pauline Huang, a renowned music teacher and children’s book author, captivated the audience with her storytelling and a mesmerizing rap song performance, leaving attendees enchanted by her talent and creativity.

The success of Hello Taiwan Easter 2024 was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the organizers, volunteers, and participants who brought the event to life. Their passion and commitment to showcasing Taiwan’s cultural heritage shone through in every aspect of the event, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

As the day drew to a close, guests departed with hearts full of memories and a newfound appreciation for the beauty and diversity of Taiwanese culture. Hello Taiwan Easter 2024 had not only entertained but also fostered connections and understanding, bridging cultures and bringing people together in celebration.

- 台灣主場論壇暨台灣女力文化體驗在紐約登場
  為響應聯合國第68屆婦女地位委員會(CSW 68)「從性別平等視角解決貧困並加強體制和融資，從而加快實現性別平等及增強全體婦女和女孩權能」之主題，「台灣主場論壇暨台灣女力文化體驗」於 3月13日晚間在駐紐約經濟文化辦事處盛大舉行。「台灣主場論壇」以「強化財務韌性、金融賦能女力」為主軸，經文處處長李光章大使於致詞時，呼應聯合國秘書長Antonio Guterres有關國際社會應加速推動性別平等及婦女賦權的呼籲，並分享台灣與國際夥伴共同致力強化婦女經濟賦權的成果。根據經濟合作發展組織(OECD)性平指數，台灣名列亞洲第一、全球第六，另我國立法院女性委員席次佔42%，蔡總統為台灣首位女性總統，蕭副總統當選人亦為我國史上第2位女性副總統。馬紹爾群島駐聯合國常任代表柯布婭(Amatlain Elizabeth Kabua)代表合辦方致詞，分享馬國落實性別平等之努力，並強調台馬合作推動婦女賦權及提升女性經濟力之成果。史瓦帝尼副總理札杜莉(Thulisile Dladla)於專題演說中指出，史國婦女是家庭、國家及社會的基石，卻仍受性別不平等問題所困，是社會中脆弱的一環；近年頻發的疫情、氣候變遷、通膨及國際衝突等因素，更將無數婦女推向貧窮與弱勢邊緣。札杜莉副總理接著分享台史兩國透過合作夥伴計畫共同促進婦女經濟賦權，呼籲加速投資婦女、促進性平。美國前國務院全球婦女議題無任所大使柯莉(Kelley Currie)續指出，提升女性金融韌性攸關國家安全，呼籲透過多邊合作加速婦女賦權，並肯定台灣在性平領域之成果，在印太地區及全球均具有極佳示範作用；她並引述蔡英文總統上年出席「拉丁美洲及加勒比海婦女賦權國際論壇」(Empower Women! LAC Conference)開幕典禮致詞，強調透過台灣與國際夥伴婦女合作計畫，將給予婦女經濟獨立與自我實現的機會。立陶宛外交部印太司司長Julius Pranevičius亦分享該國與台灣合作現況，重申台灣與立國共享民主、自由等價值理念，是其印太地區重要合作夥伴。。聖文森國社會發展暨性別事務部Orando Brewster部長以預錄影片參與專題討論場次，他特別感謝台灣在後疫情時期協助拉丁美洲及加勒比海國家經濟復甦暨婦女賦權。貝里斯駐聯合國常代Carlos Fuller呼應表示，貝國與我合作計畫有效促進當地婦女經濟權能，持續提升國家整體發展動能；我國金融研訓院黃崇哲院長接續分享我國在推動婦女金融賦權之實務經驗；「國際立即行動」(OutRight International) 執行理事Maria Sjödin則從私部門角度，分享過去數年協助企業推動性別平權的經驗。「台灣女力文化體驗」邀請苑裡「掀海風」、「隆元茶莊」等傑出女性企業家代表及屏東縣基督教女青年會常務理事林春鳳帶領賓客體驗台灣傳統藝品。另安排紙雕大師洪新富老師同場表演紙雕藝術與賓客互動，展現台灣深厚文化底蘊，及蓬勃地方創生動能。這場論壇由外交部與馬紹爾群島駐聯合國代表團、帛琉駐聯合國代表團、非營利組織Concordia及財團法人婦女權益促進發展基金會共同舉辦，並邀請「國際女法律人聯盟」(International Federation of Women in Legal Careers, FIFCJ)副主席史考特(Denise Scotto)擔任主持人，現場有史瓦帝尼副總理札杜莉、巴拉圭婦女部長Cynthia Figueredo、吐瓦魯總理特使Monise Laafai、加拿大多名參議員、友邦及理念相近國家政要與代表、聯合國社群、國際非政府組織及來紐約參加CSW68的台灣婦權人士百餘人共襄盛舉，現場氣氛熱烈，論壇也在外交部社群媒體及YouTube全程直播。 CSW68於本(2024)年3月11日至22日在紐約舉行，外交部「台灣性別平等週」(Taiwan Gender Equality Week)系列活動延續上年動能，持續於紐約擴大舉辦，多個國內NGO將接續於CSW會議期間辦理33場平行會議，向國際社會展現台灣公私部門合作促進性平及女性賦權的成果。 The post 台灣主場論壇暨台灣女力文化體驗在紐約登場 first appeared on AsianinNY.com.
- 美東中文學校協會第六區舉辦大紐約區說故事比賽
  美東中文學校協會第六區大紐約第一次舉辦說故事比賽，由僑委會支持，於二零二四年一月二十八日在紐約華僑文教中心舉行，本次說故事比賽活動由美東中文學校協會第六區大紐約理事邱琼雯與王聿潔協調其他會員學校配合辦理，共計七所會員學校派出四十二位參賽代表，華僑文教中心陳永豐主任蒞臨現場致詞.這次說故事比賽的目的是提高華裔子弟以國語表答說故事的能力，然而說故事比賽與以往的演講不同，說故事是要把一個真實或虛構的故事說得情節連貫、引人入勝以致於感動人心。本次說故事比賽分為雙語初高級兩組、傳統低中高年年級三組.每組都有學生參加比賽；學生們自己選擇要說的故事，在兩分半鐘完成故事的講述和挑戰。今年，學生們帶來的故事，包括寓言、傳說、聖經、電玩、童書繪本、歷史等,以及自己的故事. 比賽當日由優勢學院蘇郁琇校長主持，除了邱琼雯﹑王聿潔理事外，現場工作團隊成員包括財務與計時的長島南灣中文學校校長黃菁齡，計分與印製獎狀的長島慈濟人文學校校長莊淂隆與陳敬華副校長，報到組紐約慈濟人文學校負責，音效控制與投影的雙文教育系統方吉正主任和FASCA 青年大使團湯馥雲老師與義工們幫忙場地佈置。三位評審是由邱琼雯理事邀請的蔣昌棟前校長理事、曹亞鳳老師與鄧小怡老師。每位裁判對參賽的學生們稱讚有佳，表揚他們個個字正腔圓；蔣昌洞前校長與鄧小怡老師建議故事的內容要引人入勝，讓大家想繼續聽下去下面的故事。鄧小怡老師還建議故事裡的角色不要複雜，語調與肢體可以幫忙表達故事情節，老師可以安排參賽同學到別的班級去練習說故事來減少學生的緊張；曹亞鳳老師表示，學生們的故事都很有趣，雖然有四十二個故事，但是感覺比賽時間很快就過去了，每位學生們都很努力值得嘉獎。得獎的名單如下：傳統低年級組：第一名張彩韻（紐約慈濟人文學校），第二名：李炫昕（紐約慈濟人文學校) 和陳睿良，第三名：陳爆米花（長島大頸中文學校）、劉梓晴（長島大頸中文學校）和顧瑜熙（紐約慈濟人文學校）。傳統中年級組：第一名鄒立安（長島大頸中文學校），第二名：陳容熙（紐約慈濟人文學校）和辛雨嫻（長島大頸中文學校），第三名陳宥辰（紐約慈濟人文學校）、陳馳煒（紐約慈濟人文學校）和李美怡（紐約華僑中文學校）。傳統組高年級：第一名尹蘇淼（紐約慈濟人文學校），第二名尹蘇洋（紐約慈濟人文學校）和蔡孟勳（長島大頸中文學校），第三名林靜瀅（紐約華僑中文學校）、白朗（紐約華僑中文學校）、白靓（紐約華僑中文學校）。雙語初級組；第一名陳嘉欣（長島豐盛生命教會中文學校），第二名佳玲（長島慈濟人文學校），第三名陳千恩（長島豐盛生命教會中文學校）和陳永安（長島豐盛生命教會中文學校）。 The post 美東中文學校協會第六區舉辦大紐約區說故事比賽 first appeared on AsianinNY.com.
- 美東中文學校協會第六區大紐約舉辦國語朗誦比賽
  由僑委會大力支持，於十一月十二日在剛剛整修完畢，重新開幕的紐約華僑文教中心舉行，本次朗誦比賽活動由美東中文學校協會第六區大紐約理事邱琼雯與王聿潔協調其他會員學校配合辦理，共計十所會員學校派出五十三位參賽代表.華僑文教中心陳永豐主任、王鈺淇副主任和美東中文學校協會戴松昌前會長蒞臨現場.此次比賽各校非常踴躍參與.每位參賽者都充分準備，將詩的意境透過朗誦的方式傳達給在場的大眾。紐約華僑文教中心陳永豐主任為了讓美東中文學校辦理朗誦比賽，特別提早完成中心開幕典禮；在多元的現代化藝術空間、以閩南傳統式的建築騎樓為設計的場地，容納了學生、家長與老師兩百多人。除了提供了場地，文教中心還協助幫忙印製獎狀，提供補助給這次比賽，還加贈每位參賽的學生一份僑委會的禮物。加上大紐約區中文學校的獎勵參賽學生收穫頗豐. 本次朗誦比賽分為雙語初級組、雙語高級組、傳統低年級組、傳統中年級組和傳統高年組，今年每組都有學生參加比賽；這次與往年不同，傳統組有指定的兩首詩可以選擇，由王聿潔理事與長島文協中文學校甘居正校長選定朗誦詩詞，題目分別是：雙語初級組（數鴨和塗鴉），雙語高級組（大熊山秋景），傳統低年級組（月餅/螢火蟲），傳統中年級組（夜市 /秋天的信），傳統高年級組（黃石/鄉愁）。比賽當日由優勢學院蘇郁琇校長主持，除了長島大頸校長邱琼雯和新城歸正教會中文學校校長王聿潔校長兩位理事總籌備，現場工作團隊成員包括長島文協校長甘居正選定朗誦詩詞,長島南灣中文學校校長黃菁齡負責財務、長島慈濟人文學校校長莊淂隆負責計分與印製獎狀紐約慈濟人文學校林怡蓉校長負責報到﹑豐盛生命教會中文學校李亞軍主任維持會場秩序和雙文教育系統教育方吉正主任負責音效控制。三位評審由邱琼雯理事邀請李瓊英前校長、方幗嫣前校長和顏長美前校長擔任。每位裁判對參賽的學生們稱讚有佳，表揚他們個個字正腔圓、手勢適度、儀態從容，語調高低起伏, 情緒表達令在場動容,經驗豐富,頗具專業水準.幗嫣前校長稱讚學生不僅朗誦的情緒進入詩詞的意境，連穿著都配合著的詩境；瓊英前校長稱讚比賽的童詩選得好，並教導學生要注意捲舌與非捲舌的發音；長美前校長，稱讚學生們朗誦儀態得體，並贈給孩子們一首詩紀念這次的相會。得獎的名單如下：傳統低年級組：第一名陳爆米花（長島大頸中文學校），第二名：李喬因（紐約慈濟人文學校）和陳睿良（長島慈濟人文學校），第三名：楊博智（長島大頸中文學校）、陳海綾（紐約慈濟人文學校）和林宇宸（長島慈濟人文學校）。傳統中年級組：第一名鄭菁菁（紐約慈濟人文學校），第二名：何容恩（長島慈濟人文學校）和張進銘（紐約華僑學校），第三名許妮娜（紐約慈濟人文學校）、陳容熙（紐約慈濟人文學校）和辛雨嫻（長島大頸中文學校）。傳統組高年級：第一名蔡孟勳（長島大頸中文學校），第二名梁子寧（長島慈濟人文學校）和劉宸欣（長島慈濟人文學校），第三名蔡博洲（紐約慈濟人文學校）、林曉慧（長島慈濟人文學校）、高飛（紐約慈濟人文學校）。雙語初級組；第一名李軍宏（平原中文學校），第二名陳俊陽（長島豐盛生命教會中文學校）籃哲克（長島中華文教協會暨中文學校）第三名：鐘寶弟（長島慈濟人文學校）、鹿力（長島慈濟人文學校）和崔智明（長島中華文教協會暨中文學校）。雙語高級組：第一名羅穎慧（長島慈濟人文學校），第二名：佳玲（長島慈濟人文學校）。這次比賽在各校熱情參賽中,場面盛況,廣受好評, 非常順利成功完成。 The post 美東中文學校協會第六區大紐約舉辦國語朗誦比賽 first appeared on AsianinNY.com.
