There is a new organization to advocate and engage with the growing almost 25% Asian / Asian American population in Forest Hills, Queens, NY. The Forest Hills Asian Association (FHAA) was recently established for businesses, families, professionals, seniors and all residents who live in the community to increase awareness of / for Asian Business, Cultural, & Civic activities in the Forest Hills community.
Their December 17, 2014 soft launch for volunteers and partners was held at Jade Eatery and Lounge and included NYS Senator Toby Ann Stavisky; JR Nocerino, Community Liaison, Office of City Council Member Karen Koslowitz; Kaleena Ma, MK Vision Center , Amy Long, Forest Hills Dahn Yoga, Ray Gunn, AAA Ventures Group, Siva Kapoor, Santhigram Ayurveda and others.
Their next event will be a Lunar New Year celebration on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Jade Eatery and Lounge, from 6:28pm – 8:28pm. There is no cost to attend.
