The Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) Manhattan Chapter’s annual conference was held on November 2nd at Waldorf Astoria New York.
According to AREAA Manhattan, “The rise of Asian economies, and in turn Asian investors, has proven to be on the most significant developments in global real estate over the last decade. Enormous sums of money are flowing across borders in all directions”. The breakout session: Secrets from Luxury Brokers featured speaker Ilan Bracha, Nikki Field, Louise Phillips Forbes, and Leonard Steinberg.
Nikki Field, senior global advisor and associate broker at Sotheby’s International Realty, had mentioned that her marketing background helped her build her brand. Her passion to fulfilling people’s dream homes gives her excitement of the potential of making a deal.
The CEO panel, “View from the Top” featured panelist Kathryn Korte, Pamela Liebman, Shaun Osher, Diane M. Ramirez, and Lezley Schad.
Kathryn Korte, President and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty, had shared some crucial knowledge; she had said “I think it’s important to speak to Asians or international buyers in their languages”. Clear communication with international buyers are necessary for price conversions as well as unit conversions.
