The Asian American Federation celebrated 24 years of serving and helping Asian American communities in need at its annual Spirit of Asian America Gala on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at The Pierre Hotel. Co-Emcees were Christina Park, Anchor, WNYW/FOX 5 and Ti-Hua Chang, Reporter, WNYW/FOX 5.

The Federation honored 4 outstanding individuals who have made a direct impact in our communities

through their professional leadership, philanthropic endeavors and/or creative ingenuity:

Stella Aquino, Director, Actuarial Valuation and Forecasting, Empire BlueCross BlueShield
Kyung Hee Choi, Vice President, Korean Medical Program, Holy Name Medical Center
Don Lowery, Senior Vice President, Government and Public Affairs, The Nielsen Company
Ted Teng, President & Chief Executive Officer, Leading Hotels of the World

Rachel Orkin-Ramey, Christie’s, lead the live auction and funds raised through the event go directly to support the Federation’s work in serving our member agencies and Asian American communities in New York City.
