Asia Week New York held their kick-off reception at the J.J. Lally & Co. with attendees including Lark Mason, Maxwell K. Hearn (The Metropolitan Museum of Art), James J. Lally (J.J.Lally &Co.), Margaret Tao (new Executive Director) and the New York Asia Week Planning Committee. In just a few years, Asia Week New York has become a much-anticipated event for international collectors, curators, and scholars who converge in New York to partake in a non-stop week of auctions sales, lectures and gallery exhibitions.
The Asia Week New York Association announces that 46 international galleries and 5 auction houses will participate in Asia Week New
York 2016, the nine-day celebration of Asian art and culture that spans the metropolitan region from March 10 through 19, 2016.
The 2016 edition of Asia Week New York continues to offer a non-stop schedule of gallery open houses, auctions at Bonhams, Christie’s, Doyle, iGavel, and Sotheby’s, exhibitions, lectures, symposia and special events. To celebrate the week’s festivities, a private, invitation-only reception, jointly hosted with the Department of Asian Art of The Metropolitan Museum of Art will once again take place there on March 14.
