The Asia Week New York 2014 kick off was hosted by Michael and Lisa Hugh at their tony apartment on E68th Street on December 10 at 5:30PM. This year will mark the sixth year of Asia Week New York.
In March 14-22, 2014, the Asian art community of Asia art lovers, connoisseurs, dealers, and buyers will gather in New York. It would be a week of non-stop gallery open houses, Asian art auctions, museum exhibitions, lectures, and special events. With the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosting the reception of Asia Week, New York is a must stop destination for Asian Art lovers enthusiasts. Investment in Asian art by Chinese from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong has exploded in recent years. It will also be a week to see the best Japanese art outside of Japan, best art from India and Korea.
For the year of 2014, there will be 47 international galleries, up from 43. Twenty-five percent are new comers in the contemporary scene. Two new sponsors to the event are Amanresorts and China Center New York, which will offer high-end concierge services in 2015 at One World Trade Center.
Asia Week New York promises to be an exciting week.
