On Sep 26th at New York Mets Citifield, they held a Chinese Culture event just in time for Moon Festival and National Holiday, “An Evening of Chinese Culture” at Citi Field before the Mets-Pirates game.
“An Evening of Chinese Culture” held at the Citi Field, New York in conjunction with September 26th New York Mets Baseball Game. This event was co-hosted by the Sino-American Culture & Arts Foundation, the Sino-American Friendship Association, the New York Mets and the Chinese Communities of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
Taking place on September 26th, 2012 during the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most celebrated and recognized holidays in Chinese culture, “An Evening of Chinese Culture” featured Chinese dances and music including Dragon Dance eye-dotting opening ceremony, Chinese Dragon performance and Girls Dragon Dance during pre-game time by American and Chinese artists.
This event was a great celebration merging Eastern culture and Western sport. Our friend Vivian Fang Liu also sang the National Anthem to start the game. What an evening!
