The 15th annual Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Awards Dinner Gala was held on June 16th at Cipriani, 55 Wall Street in Manhattan. This year the top Pinnacle Awardees are:
• Thai Lee, President and CEO of SHI International Corp.(SHI)
• Lisa Su, President and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD)
The Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award honors Asian Americans who represent various ethnicities from China, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, and other Asian countries.This gala not only provides Asian-American business leaders a platform for communication and collaboration, but also serves as a 22-year milestone for the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC).
John Wang, president of AABDC:”The award honors individuals and serves to encourage the development of talent and leadership of Asian Americans.”The evening’s Keynote speaker is Jon Spector, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Conference Board, Inc.
As in past years, the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business AwardGala will include a wide array of Asian ethnicities that represent a microcosm of Asian American business owners, professionals and corporate executives across the United States. The award committee identifies and selects outstanding leaders who have built a successful business or who have distinguished themselves in their communities. The committee identifies two top Pinnacle Award recipients who are widely acknowledged as leaders in their industry. The gala has honored more than700 Asian Americans representing over 50 industries and professions.
