Conversation With Leaders in Diversity

AsianInNY was invited by Savio Chan, the President of  US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Northeast region to attend a leadership forum at Hub International with a keynote presentation by Russell Sarder, an American business magnate, author, and CEO of NetCom Learning.


The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (USPAACC EF) was formed in 1984 as a national, non-profit organization representing all Asian Americans and Asian American-related groups in business, sciences, the arts, sports, education, public and community services. USPAACC EF represents more than one ethnic group Our members’ heritages includes China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines, Korea, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Mongolia, Indonesia and Bangladesh.

Under his leadership, NetCom Learning is now a multimillion-dollar business. In 2008 and 2011, Inc 5000 Magazine listed NetCom Learning as one of the fastest growing private companies in the USA. Sarder is the author of Learning: Steps to Becoming a Passionate Lifelong Learner and Effective Learning Methods: How to develop the most effective learning method. He has been featured in the Yahoo Finance, CNBC, Daily News and the New York Times; his television appearances include CBS Market Watch, and NY1.

Sarder was selected a winner of the 2011 Top Ten Asian American Business Awards and 50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Businesses.  Sarder is also the Chairman and CEO of Sarder Inc., a holding company that includes NetCom Learning, LearningGG, Learning CMS, Sarder Learning, Ebiz9, Technology and Training magazine, and other smaller companies.  Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, and CISCO CEO John Chambers have contributed to his technology magazine. Sarder is a philanthropist and the benefactor of Netcom Learning’s Sarder Scholarship, awarded monthly to an individual who wishes to begin or advance an IT career.

It was a meaningful event  and we are truly inspired!  And yes, we are all lifelong learners!
