Richard Chai’s Spring 2014 Collection in New York featured elegant and comfortable styles that stay true to the motto of ready-to-wear.

Consisting of mainly sheer and silky fabrics, Chai’s collection offers the cool and natural sensibility that comes with the spring weather. Relaxed fit also seemed to be the trend as many pieces were loosely fitted with wide-leg pants and sporty tops.

The theme of ‘soft geometry’ was evident as soon as the first model strutted the runway. The elements of stripes and shapes were consistent in most of the female models that donned mainly whites and blacks with an occasional pop of red, teal and blue.

On another group of models for his collection, Chai went with a line of leather jackets in collaboration with Andrew Marc. The motorcycle style jackets were made in red, white, brown and of course black. The whole collection looks very ready for Spring 2014.
